Baptist Clergy Urges Liberians To Embrace Integrity, Service To Nation Building

MONROVIA, March 13(LINA) – The President of the Liberian Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention Rev. Dr. Samuel Reeves, Jr. has emphasized the need for Liberians to conform to faith, resilience, and purpose in moving the country’s forward, urging all to embrace integrity, service, and nation-building.

The religious leader made the statement Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in Monrovia when he delivered a sermon during the solemn observance of the109th National Decoration Day at a reflective ceremony held at the Providence Baptist Church. 

The Liberian Clergyman underscores the importance of honoring those who shaped Liberia’s history, stating: “Their sacrifices remain a guiding light, inspiring unity, progress, and a collective commitment to a better Liberia.

The Baptist National President and preacher-man reaffirmef the religious community of Liberia’s continued dedication to preserving Liberia’s history and fostering unity, integrity, and peace. 

“As the nation marks National Decoration Day, all Liberians are encouraged to reflect on its significance and uphold the values that strengthen our collective future,” he said.

The event brought together government officials, religious leaders, educators, students, and stakeholders in a shared commitment to remembrance, unity, and national heritage.

The commemoration concluded with a solemn visitation to the gravesites of former Liberian leaders, including William V. S. Tubman, William R. Tolbert, and Samuel Kanyon Doe, as a tribute of gratitude and remembrance.
