MONROVIA, May 20 (LINA) – After nearly 20 years of abandonment, the historic Juarzon City Hall in Bilobocree, Juarzon Statutory District, Sinoe County, is set for official dedication on July 26, 2025, following a comprehensive renovation spearheaded by Representative Alex Noah of Electoral District three in Sinoe County.
The once-decrepit structure, long seen as a symbol of administrative decay, has now been transformed into a modern facility poised to serve the needs of the community.
The renovation marks a major milestone in efforts to revitalize local governance infrastructure and restore public confidence in service delivery.
“This City Hall is more than just a building, it is a symbol of our renewed commitment to good governance, transparency, and pride in our local institutions. We want our people to feel ownership and dignity when they step through its doors,” he said.
For years, the hall stood in disrepair – unsafe, inaccessible, and functionally obsolete making it difficult for citizens to engage with local authorities.
Its revival follows years of advocacy by residents and local leaders who pushed for change amid growing frustration over deteriorating public services.
The renovation, which began earlier this year, includes structural reinforcements, improved accessibility features, and modernized amenities aimed at enhancing service delivery.
The upgrades were designed to create a more inclusive and efficient civic space, accessible to all residents.
Representative Noah said preparations are already underway for the July 26 dedication ceremony, which is expected to attract a large turnout, adding that the event will include speeches by local dignitaries, guided tours of the renovated facility, and a community celebration highlighting the hall’s rebirth and the spirit of collaboration that made it possible.
“This dedication is not just a ribbon-cutting, it’s a statement that our community is rising, reclaiming its institutions, and investing in a future where public service truly serves the people,” Rep. Noah said.
The project is being hailed as a landmark achievement for Juarzon District and a model for other rural constituencies striving to improve civic infrastructure and community engagement.
